A Few of My Favorite Things: Online Deal Sites

Online Deal Sites- These deal sites offer deep discounts on things like gift cards, travel, home décor, clothing and gifts. More importantly these sites often offer credit just for signing up, sharing deals with friends and as promotions. It is important to read any instructions and/or restrictions included with the offer such as when your voucher will need to be redeemed, how to redeem your voucher, if offers can be used in store AND online, and if shipping is included. I look for offers that require VERY little out of pocket including shipping. Here are some of favorite Deal Sites…


• Groupon- Working with large companies such as Barnes & Noble, Ebay, GAP, and Old Navy is only one reason Groupon tops my list. They also sometimes offer credit promotions when you sign up for their email list and when a friend you refer makes their first purchase.

• Rue La La – A few times throughout the year Rue la la offers a $20 credit just for signing up and with shipping at only $9.95 you can often grab items such as a kids umbrella, bath towels, stationary, and kitchen utensils for FREE including S/H. They give you $10 in credit when a friend you refer makes their first purchase.

• Living Social- While they have national deals on movie tickets and magazine subscriptions Living Social also has the most local subscriptions to sign up for (Champaign and Springfield) for deals on activites in our area. They offer $5 in credit when you sign up through my link above.

• Plum District- A lot like Groupon, Plum District offers deep discounts on deals specific to moms and their families. They also offer $5 in credit when you sign up through my link above.

• Savemore- With the $10 credit you will receive when signing up you can FREE vouchers for items some of which have included a teeth whitening pen, nail polish strips, and a slap on watch.

• Saveology- If you are looking for a deal on lunch or shopping gift cards this is the place to be. For first time customers Saveology has offered $10 gift cards to places like Subway , CVS and Papa Johns for only $6.00.
